International Phd Studentship for Study in Cardiff University, United Kingdom

Eligibility:
  • Residency: This studentship is open to students that are classed as international for the purpose of tuition fee status.
  • Academic criteria: Candidates should have an excellent academic background in the social sciences, holding a 1st or upper 2nd class degree and have completed or be currently completing a relevant Masters Degree.

To apply for the above scholarship / award / grant you should submit the following documents and should possess the following:
Applicants must complete and submit the following documentation by the deadline of 12.00pm, Monday 3rd November 2014. Note that the deadline is absolute and applications received after this specified time and date will not be accepted.
Submit a completed application form for admission to doctoral study in the School of Social Sciences – submitted to the Academic Registry via the online admissions portal. (Please specify the School of Social Sciences – Research Degree – Doctor of Philosophy (Social Sciences) with a start date of January 2015)
Submit the following documentation (attached to a single email with the subject International Criminology Studentship 2015) to Parkinva@cardiff.ac.uk
  • A letter of application, stating your reasons for wishing to pursue PhD study.
  • A short abstract of the proposed PhD study (maximum 500 words)
  • A full research proposal for the PhD study (maximum 1500 words, excluding references)
  • A CV
  • Official transcripts of previous higher education degrees
  • Two academic references
  • Proof of English Language proficiency (if required)
The same documents can be used in support of both the scholarship and admission applications but should be submitted separately – i.e. application documents emailed to parkinva@cardiff.ac.uk and University admission application documents uploaded via the online system.
Once all the information has been received by Cardiff School of Social Sciences and the assessment of the submitted documents is complete, you will be informed about your selection in the same.
