What will I be doing?

Assisting in the organisation and follow-up of meetings and conducting other administrative tasks relating to the activities of the organisation (e.g. managing correspondence, providing logistical arrangements, background documentation, report writing)
Developing and keeping-up-to date databases (e.g. entering data, creating mailing lists, etc.)
Conducting specific research in the areas of work (e.g. drafting fact sheets, updating documents, etc.)
Engaging in work across the organisation and supporting the leadership team as required
What skills and qualifications do I need to have?
Relevant university degree (for example relating to development policy, or general social policy; politics, European studies)
Be fluent in English (knowledge of other European languages is an asset)
Excellent organisational, communication, writing and editing skills
Demonstrable knowledge of and interest in Asia, Africa & Emerging Economies, and more generally European and global affairs
Research experience combined with good analytical skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (a knowledge of social media is desirable)

The organization
The European Builders Confederation (EBC) is the voice of construction crafts and SMEs in Europe, a European trade association composed of 18 member associations, representing construction micro, small and medium-sized companies before the European Institutions. With the headquarter in Brussels, we are seeking a pro-active and motivated trainee for a period of 3-4 months at least. Your profile

Your role

Ensuring and developing EBC’s visual identity, as well as producing or supervising the production of all graphic materials,

Performing regular administrative tasks in support of the Secretariat’s daily work

2018 PhD Scholarship in Strategic Management at CBS, Denmark

What's the work like?

Trainees can work in all Departments of F4E. The content of the job largely depends on the area you are assigned to. The successful candidate will have: 
Bachelor degree;

Teamworking attitude in a multinational environment; 
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral);  
Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products; 
Permit to study and reside in Belgium.

Community Manager (Intern)

Le Pacte Finance Climat est une initiative lancĂ©e par Jean Jouzel et Pierre Larrouturou le 7 dĂ©cembre dernier et soutenue par plus de 150 personnalitĂ©s europĂ©ennes dont Daniel Cohn-Bendit, Jean-Marc Ayrault, Jean-Pierre Raffarin ou encore Enrico Letta. Dans une logique transpartisane, l’ambition de l’association est de proposer un financement innovant de la transition Ă©cologique au sein de l’Union europĂ©enne Ă  travers la mise en oeuvre d’un Pacte fiscal et monĂ©taire europĂ©en. Le manque de financement est progressivement en train de vider l’Accord de Paris de sa substance. L’association vise Ă  prĂ©server cet accord historique en rassemblant toutes les forces politiques et associatives qui veulent s’engager dans cette bataille pour le climat en Europe.
Après un appel rĂ©ussi dans Le Monde, Le Soir (Belgique) et Ouest France, l'initiative europĂ©enne pour un Pacte Finance Climat a organisĂ© le jeudi 15 mars un grand dĂ©bat inĂ©dit au siège de l’UNESCO Ă  Paris en prĂ©sence du Ministre d’Etat Nicolas Hulot. Dans cet Ă©lan, l’association cherche dĂ©sormais deux stagiaires pour continuer son action de plaidoyer et de campagne en France et en Europe.

Fully Funded SIWI Journalist Grant for Media Professionals in Sweden, 2018

The new SIWI Journalist Grant is currently accepting applications from five journalists from low or low-middle income nations to study in Sweden. This is the opportunity to visit World Water Week which takes place in Stockholm between 26 – 31 August 2018.
The SIWI Journalist Grant aims to build capacity in water and water-related issues among journalists active in developing countries, thereby creating the potential for raised awareness among large audiences of readers, listeners and viewers. In the long term, a raised level of water known in the journalist corps will contribute to influencing key decision- and policy makers in water and development issues.
SIWI is a water institute. We leverage knowledge and our convening power to strengthen water governance for a just, prosperous, and sustainable future. The idea that became SIWI stems from three linked events in Stockholm in 1991.
Scholarship Description: 
Application Deadline: April 30, 2018
Course Level: Grants are available for media professionals.
Study Subject: These grants aim to build capacity in water and water-related issues.
Scholarship Award: The SIWI Journalist Grant covers:
Round-trip air ticket to Stockholm, Sweden
Public (or equivalent) transport between airport and hotel on arrival and departure
Full week registration fee for World Water Week
Certain social events during World Water Week
Hotel stay during World Water Week
Meals on half board during World Water Week
Per diem for meals not provided at World Water Week venue
The SIWI Journalist Grant does not cover:
Visa, and visa-related costs
Any insurance
