The organization
The European Builders Confederation (EBC) is the voice of construction crafts and SMEs in Europe, a European trade association composed of 18 member associations, representing construction micro, small and medium-sized companies before the European Institutions. With the headquarter in Brussels, we are seeking a pro-active and motivated trainee for a period of 3-4 months at least. Your profile
The successful candidate will be a motivated, talented and flexible professional. He/she has strong communication and digital skills. He/she is fluent in English and French – both written and oral. Any other language (in particular Italian and Spanish) is an asset.

Your role
The person will be assisting the communication officer’s activities in EBC.

Supporting the EBC Secretariat on writing, editing and/or proofreading all communications material;
Ensuring and developing EBC’s visual identity, as well as producing or supervising the production of all graphic materials,
Supporting EBC’s online presence including the website and four social media
Organising or supporting the organisation of events, such as working breakfasts, annual congress, board meetings, seminars.

Performing regular administrative tasks in support of the Secretariat’s daily work

Description
The Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament offers internships at its Secretariat in Brussels. These are established to award students or young graduates of universities the possibility to supplement the knowledge, which they acquired during their studies and to familiarise them with the activities of the Greens-EFA group in the EP.
The group offers full-time paid internships of minimum 3 to a maximum of 5 months. (In exceptional cases e.g. special national educational rules, university requirements, interns can be accepted for 2 to 6 weeks for an unpaid internship).
They employ a maximum of 5 interns at any given time and will nominate an experienced staff member as a supervisor for each intern, who will provide guidance for him or her throughout the internship. The objectives of the placement will be noted in an internship agreement, the tasks may include, support to advisors in committees, monitoring parliamentary work, supporting the organization of Group events or the press work etc.
Eligibility
student (proof of student status requested) or young graduate with an officially recognized higher degree);
age between 18 and 28 years;
national of a European Union member state;
share Green and democratic values;

Eligibility
To be considered eligible, trainees must satisfy all of the following requirements on the closing date for submission of applications:

University diploma: Candidates must have completed the first cycle of a higher education course (i.e. university education) and obtained a full degree or its equivalent by the closing date for applications. For declared on-going post-graduate studies an official declaration from the relevant university/institute must be provided;
Languages: In order for the trainees to fully profit from the traineeship and to be able to follow meetings and perform adequately,

Benefits
The traineeship may last a minimum of six and a maximum of 12 months. Traineeship agreements are initially offered for a period of six months with the option for extension for a further six months period, upon justification by the Head of Unit and budget availability.
Trainees are awarded a monthly allowance of 25 % of the basic remuneration of a temporary agent at grade AD 5 /1. The amount of the allowance is set on a yearly basis and is subject to the annual revision of the remuneration. For example, currently, a trainee allowance in 2018 is at 1.176,84 EUR/ month.

MTV’s International Social Responsibility department is looking for an intern to join the MTV Staying Alive Foundation. The MTV Staying Alive Foundation is an international content-producing and grant-giving organisation dedicated to stopping the spread of HIV among young people. The foundation creates and distributes challenging and entertaining HIV prevention content across MTV channels and with third-party broadcasters, while finding, funding and training young activists who are tackling the HIV epidemic in their own communities. To date, the MTV Staying Alive Foundation has supported 208 youth-led organisations from 70 countries around the world to set up their own local HIV awareness projects, totalling US$ 6 million.
Working closely together with the Foundation’s Deputy Executive Director, the Grants Manager and the Fundraising team, the intern will be responsible for the following tasks:

Assist with the management of incoming grant applications and with the selection of new MTV Staying Alive grant recipients;
Manage a number of MTV Staying Alive HIV prevention grants;
Assist with the organisation of capacity building workshops for MTV Staying Alive Grantees, including making travel arrangements;
Assist the Trust and Foundations Manager with writing funding applications;
Assist the Fundraising Team with the organisation of fundraising events;
Write and source editorial content for the MTV Staying Alive website, to promote the impact of the foundation’s work to a wider audience;

Job Summary:
Working within the International Consumer Products department, this role reports to the Senior European Retail Manager. This role will consist of administrative and commercial management and be working to support the team with key European Retail accounts as well as building relationships with local territory retail teams. Role Specific Skills / Attributes:
Experience within sales & marketing and/or brand management
Excellent understanding and use of PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
Demonstrated knowledge of UK and European retailers
Good attention to detail
Ability to work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to build and develop relationships with colleagues and external clients
Good team player with the ability to work autonomously
Keen desire to build effective and creative marketing campaigns
Desirable skills:
Macroeconomic understanding of the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy
A second European language
