Media Relations Intern DIGITALEUROPE

We are looking for a motivated Media Relations Intern with an interest in media relations and EU policymaking to assist the Communications Director.

Tasks and responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have a good eye for detail, and will be able to work independently. The work will include re-working the press list of journalist contacts. It will also entail monitoring media (traditional and social) reports every day and circulating them internally to the relevant policy teams.
Profile:
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Communications.
  • 2-3 years’ relevant work experience in one or more of the above mentioned fields.
  • Sound knowledge of EU decision-making procedures, current affairs and a demonstrable understanding of EU legislative developments.
  • Strong interest in media and journalism.
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience in an association or member organisation considered a plus.
  • Native English speaker or equivalent, with a good knowledge of at least one other European language.
  • Very organized with an acute attention to detail.

This position reports to the Communications Director.
