The School of Art History and World Art Studies and associated
partners based at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts offer a variety
of scholarships. These Masters Scholarships are
available for pursuing Museum Studies and related fields at University
of East Anglia. Home/EU/International students are eligible for these
Master’s Scholarships. Applicant must have achieved first class or high
2:1 degrees. Application deadline is 1 March 2014.
About Scholarship: The School of Art History and World Art Studies and associated partners based at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts offer a variety of Masters level courses.
2 x MA Scholarships: These Scholarships are offered for the following courses with a value equivalent to Home/EU fees.
-4 x MA Museum Studies Internships: These Internships are offered as part of our MA Museum Studies degree. For the academic year 2014-15, we will offer 4 Internships and are currently in the process of finalising their details (to be completed in November 2013). The internships cover fees (at the Home/EU student rate) and a bursary of approximately £5,000; international students receive £10,000 towards fees only.
-4 x MA Arts of Africa, Oceania and the Americas Scholarships: This MA, run by the Sainsbury Research Unit, provides candidates with detailed knowledge of the visual arts, historical and contemporary, of Africa, Oceania and the Americas. Employing anthropological, archaeological and art-historical approaches, it is suitable as a stand-alone Master’s or as a foundation for doctoral research. Emphasis is placed on small-group and individual tuition and the development of research skills. A strong museological strand makes this course appropriate for those interested in museum curatorship, a career pathway followed by many alumni. These Scholarships will cover Home/EU or International fees.
