You must have some background in humanitarian action, policy and research. A familiarity with the United Nations, particularly the Security Council, and experience in a humanitarian context are preferable. The purpose of this post is to provide the intern with an opportunity to strengthen her/his advocacy skills at the NY level, knowledge of UN institutions, and skills working with an international NGO. The intern will support Oxfam International’s advocacy work to influence the UN on its policy on protracted conflicts and humanitarian assistance. This internship will be part of the OI Secretariat Advocacy and Campaigns team.

She/He will focus on specific projects where her/his knowledge and skills will be put into practice.
