egta is looking for an intern

egta is recruiting an intern to assist its team. This is a 4 months UNPAID internship (from October to December/January – alternatively September to December) for a student who benefits from a work placement agreement with their university or school. You need to be covered both legally and, for insurance reasons, by your university/school’s work placement program.
About us: egta is the trade association of television and radio sales houses that commercialise the advertising space of both private and public TV/radio channels all over Europe. Our main areas of expertise are benchmarking, lobbying and networking. egta’s has 128 company members in about all European countries and beyond.
Thanks to the various nationalities of our 10 team members but also thanks to egta’s mission and raison d’être, we provide an international and dynamic work environment.

As an intern, you will assist egta’s various departments (Radio, TV, Research, Communication, Logistics) in:
  • Updating various databases about egta members, their activities and their communication strategies with egta. This implies working in Excel, but also in egta’s own databases, for which egta will of course provide a short training. It also requires writing emails and giving phone calls to gather certain type of information.
  • Writing articles and summaries for various communication tools (topics always concern the sale of advertising space on television and radio). If your skills allow, this will also involve translating certain articles, piece of news or research coming from a national member into English for a broader egta communication.
  • Assisting the team in the various tasks linked to the organisation of events.
You should have the following experience and qualities:
  • Preferably at the end stage of your studies in a relevant field (Communication, Administration, Office Management, Marketing, Audiovisual).
  • A high level of spoken and written English, as it is egta’s unique working language.
  • Good knowledge of another European language is a strong asset.
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, flexible, team-worker and possessing good reasoning skills and a developed common sense. We like to work with students who “go the extra mile” and are proactive in their work.
Please be aware that the main part of your job will be office-work, logistics and admin, but that according to your skills and abilities, our team will be happy to integrate you in special projects to make the most of your internship both for you and for us.
