2014 PhD Studentships in Chemistry at Cardiff University in UK

Cardiff University is inviting application for two fully funded scholarships for full time PhD study in any area of Chemistry. One will be awarded to a UK/EU student and the other will be awarded to an International (non-EU) student. Studentship consists of full International tuition fees, as well as a Doctoral Stipend matching UK Research Council National Minimum. Studentships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence. The application deadline is 9th June 2014.
About Scholarship: Two fully funded scholarships for full time PhD study in any area of Chemistry. The scholarships are supported by the College of Physical Sciences and Engineering and will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence.
Study: Studentships are provided in any field of Chemistry at Cardiff University in UK. Course Level: Studentships are available for pursuing PhD degree level at Cardiff University in UK. Eligibility:
-Residency: This studentship is open to students of any nationality without further restrictions.
-Academic criteria: Applicants for a studentship must have obtained, or be about to obtain, a 2.1 degree or higher in a relevant subject, or the equivalent qualification.

Scholarship Open for: UK/EU and international students can apply for these studentships.
Number of awards: Two studentships are available. One will be awarded to a UK/EU student and the other will be awarded to an International (non-EU) student.
Duration: Studentships are offered for three years.
Value: Two studentships are available. One will be awarded to a UK/EU student and the other will be awarded to an International (non-EU) student.
-For Home/EU students: This studentship consists of full UK/EU tuition fees, as well as a Doctoral Stipend matching UK Research Council National Minimum (£13,863 p.a. for 2014/15, updated each year).
-For International/Non-EU students: This studentship consists of full International tuition fees, as well as a Doctoral Stipend matching UK Research Council National Minimum (£13,863 p.a. for 2014/15, updated each year).

Selection criteria: The selection criteria will be academic excellence.
Notification: Applicants will hold an appropriate offer where possible on 9th June. For cases where this is not the case, an offer will be issued to the applicant as soon as the selection has been made. Conditional offers will be acceptable, in cases where the applicant will graduate in July 2014.
