2014 Mexican Government Excellence Grants for Bachelor Studies

Government of Mexico is awarding excellence grants for bachelor studies. These grants are preferentially awarded to applicants from Central American countries, however all Latin American nationals are eligible. Grants are awarded for maximum 4 years (8 semesters), from August 2014. All scholarship processing formalities must be made to the Embassy of Mexico located in the applicant’s home country embassy or concurrent with, or through the receiving Mexican institution. The application deadline is May 2, 2014.
About Scholarship: The call opens on 3 March and closes on May 2, 2014. The programs are aimed at nationals of countries included in this Call. The scholarships are preferentially awarded to applicants from Central American countries, however all Latin American nationals are eligible. No nominations by fax or email will be accepted. The documentation and forms must be submitted in Spanish, or in your case, with a simple translation. All scholarship processing formalities must be made to the Embassy of Mexico located in the applicant’s home country embassy or concurrent with, or through the receiving Mexican institution. Records will be received directly from applicants.

Eligibility:
-The programs are aimed at nationals of countries included in this Call. The scholarships are preferentially awarded to applicants from Central American countries, however all Latin American nationals are eligible.
-The documentation and forms must be submitted in Spanish, or in your case, with a simple translation.
-All scholarship processing formalities must be done before the Mexico embassy located in the country of origin applicant or with concurrent embassy or through the receiving Mexican institution. Not receive files directly from applicants.

Scholarship Open for: Students of Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Falkland Islands, French Guiana, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay and Venezuela can apply for these excellence grants. These grants are preferentially awarded to applicants from Central American countries.
Duration: These excellence grants are awarded for maximum of 4 years (8 semesters), from August 2014.
Value: Grants include-
-The college of Mexico-Academic costs (enrollment and school fees).
-SRE-Monthly allowance equal to 4 DF minimum wages, currently amounts to 8074.80 (Eight Thousand Seventy-Four Pesos 80/100)
-IMSS medical insurance, from the third month of the scholarship

Apply: Applicants should apply via post and includes the following documents:
-Scholarship Application 2014 duly filled photo and signature in the original. The formats from previous years are not valid.
-Two government candidate, in the proper form, or through a official communication from the government or the government institution responsible for its scholarship country.
-Three complex acceptance letter or record that is being processed, signed by the academic coordinator of the Center for International Studies, on letterhead and handwritten signature. Written in which the reasons for him to do graduate studies in detailing Mexico and in case of receiving a scholarship, how it intends to apply to your return.
-Copy of high school transcript or proof of high school completion with minimum of eight overall, indicate the grading scale of the institution academic. If the average has not been indicated, or the scale is different, they must attach an official transcript with the average and the equivalent in scale of 0 to 10
-Copy of birth certificate
-Original medical certificate of good health update issued by a public institution (*).
-When Spanish is not the native language of the applicant, proof of knowledge advanced Spanish issued by a university or school for accreditation.
-Eight recent photographs (not digital print) of 3 cm. high by 3 cm. of width: one must be affixed in the application for the scholarship. The remaining seven photographs should deliver with your name and nationality on the back.
-No nominations by fax or email will be accepted.
-The documentation and forms must be submitted in Spanish, or in your case, with a simple translation
