2014 Graduate Teaching Assistantships at University of Leicester in UK

The Department of Economics, University of Leicester is offering 5 Graduate Teaching Assistantships in Economics for UK/EU and international students. These assistantships are payable as a full UK/EU tuition fee waiver for four years subject to annual progress review. The successful applicants will also receive an annual stipend and salary (worth £13,726 each year) as well as an annual Training Grant (worth £750 each year) to support appropriate research and development expenses. The application deadline is 30 April 2014.
About Scholarship: The Department of Economics is pleased to offer five funded Graduate Teaching Assistantships for October 2014 entry to its Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme. These Graduate Teaching Assistantships are available for full-time registration and are payable as a full UK/EU tuition fee waiver for four years subject to annual progress review. Eligibility:
-First class or upper second class undergraduate degree or an equivalent overseas qualification in a relevant subject.
-It is expected that applicants will also hold a Masters degree in a relevant subject.
-Standard English language requirements.
-Available to suitable UK/EU and International (i.e., outside the EU) applicants – please note though that the awards cover tuition fees at the UK/EU rate only; international applicants (and those not eligible to pay UK/EU tuition fees) must demonstrate at the time of their application that they can fund the difference in tuition fee rates.
-Available for full-time registration only.
-Applicants must be able to start in October 2014.
