The Department of Politics and International Relations of University of Leicester is offering PhD studentships for
distance learning PhD programs. Studentships are provided in the field
of Security and Intelligence. The studentships are open for UK/EU and
international students. The studentships will include full UK/EU tuition
fee waiver for seven years. Application should be submitted till 20th
July 2014.
About Scholarship: The Department of Politics and International Relations is pleased to offer three funded studentship for October 2014 entry to its distance learning Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme. The studentships available for distance learning registration and are payable as a full UK/EU tuition fee waiver for seven years.
Study: Studentships are awarded in the field of Security and Intelligence. The following research areas are covered: intelligence, counter intelligence, intelligence co-operation, security service operations, security service accountability, surveillance, operations of special forces and other aspects of security studies. Course Level: Studentships are available for pursuing PhD degree at University of Leicester. Distance Learning: Studentships are available for distance learning PhD programs. Scholarship Provider: The Department of Politics and International Relations of University of Leicester, UK Scholarship can be taken at: Studentships are allowing students to undertake a University of Leicester PhD wherever they are based in the world.
Accreditation: The University of Leicester is an accredited university. University of Leicester is accredited by the Association of AMBA,EUA, ACU and EMUA.
Eligibility: First class or upper second class undergraduate degree or an equivalent overseas qualification in a relevant subject;
-It is expected that applicants will also hold a Masters degree in a relevant subject;
-Standard English language requirements;
-Available to suitable UK/EU and International (i.e., outside the EU) applicants – please note though that the award covers tuition fees at the UK/EU rate only; international applicants (and those not eligible to pay UK/EU tuition fees) must demonstrate at the time of their application that they can fund the difference in tuition fee rates;
-Available for distance learning registration only;
-Applicants must be able to start in October 2014;
-or show evidence of achieving this by October 2014.
