2014 Centre for Heritage Scholarship at University of Kent in UK

University of Kent is offering one Heritage scholarship for UK/EU doctoral research student in the field of heritage, at their Canterbury campus. Scholarship will be awarded to outstanding applicant, able to demonstrate a high level of academic achievement, excellent communication skills and the potential to make a strong contribution to their chosen field of research. The scholarship will be offered for one year in the first instance, renewable for a maximum of three years, subject to satisfactory academic performances. Scholarship will cover full home/EU fees. The application deadline is 15 April 2014.
About Scholarship: The Centre for Heritage at Kent will offer one scholarship to support one UK/EU doctoral research student in the field of heritage, at our Canterbury campus. -Hold a Master’s degree at merit or distinction in a relevant subject or equivalent;
-Hold an offer of a place on a full-time doctoral research degree in the School of European Culture and Languages for the academic year commencing September 2014;
-Have a high-quality research proposal.

Number of award: One Heritage scholarship is offered.
Duration: The scholarship will be offered for one year in the first instance, renewable for a maximum of three years, subject to satisfactory academic performances.
Value: This Heritage scholarship will cover full home/EU fees.
Selection Criteria: The Centre for Heritage at Kent Scholarship will be awarded to one outstanding applicant, able to demonstrate a high level of academic achievement, excellent communication skills, and the potential to make a strong contribution to their chosen field of research.
Apply: 
-Candidates must make a formal application to study on an eligible doctoral programme and have received an offer of a place to commence their studies in September 2014
-Candidates must then send a supporting statement, not exceeding 1,000 words, outlining why they feel they are suitable to be considered for this scholarship
