Description
The Social Science Fellowships are mainly targeted to applicants who wish to undertake research in some social science such as Economic, History, or interdisciplinary research which includes Economics will be considered.The main interests of the College are in Economics, Politics and Sociology, but these are broadly construed to include, for example, social science approaches to history, social and medical statistics, international relations, social psychology, public policy, and social policy.
All of the recipients of the Social Science Fellowships should be responsible is to engage in independent scholarly research. They have no teaching or administrative obligations but are expected to participate in the intellectual life of the College. They will be expected to organize a seminar or workshop in their subject area during the three-year term of their appointment and the College can help finance and organize these activities.

Eligibility
In order to be eligible in applying the social science fellowships, applicants must: hold a bachelors and/or masters degree and should by 1 September 2013 have completed, or be close to completing, a doctorate. In addition, Social science fellowships recipients' candidates must not have spent more than a total of eight years in postgraduate study, teaching or research in the social sciences by the date of taking up the Fellowship, and should not have previously held a research fellowship similar to that advertised.

- Post-doctoral salary starts at £23,315 p.a.
- Research budget £2,474 p.a.
- Free single College accommodation or £5,340 p.a. housing allowance
- Free lunch and dinner in College
- Child support funds available
