2012 PhD Studentship at Cranfield University, UK

Cranfield University
2012 Fully Funded Doctoral Studentship in the field of Fluid Mechanics, Materials Science at Cranfield University in UK
About Scholarship: This PhD project is part of a major industrial programme looking into the management of water in aircraft fuel systems. The researcher will be involved in experimental studies probing the physical characteristics of ice particles, agglomerations and accretions in aircraft fuels and in the development of modelling tools to help identify the propensity of fuel icing to become problematical in a particular situation. One important element in the PhD study will be the production of a means to evaluate some mechanical properties of an ice accretion submerged in fuel.
Study Subject: Ice Formation in Aircraft Fuel Systems
Course Level: PhD
Scholarship By: Department of Power & Propulsion School of Engineering, Cranfield University
