Trainee to Saab EU Affairs & NATO Office

The primary role of the Saab EU Affairs & NATO office in Brussels is to work with early alert and actions on civil, military and aeronautics trends, new legislation, policies, budget, research and funding in order for Saab to reach its overall business targets and to contribute to new business opportunities.

We are now looking for a trainee to work in the Saab EU Affairs & NATO office in Brussels for eight months. The trainee will report to the Head of Saab EU Affairs & NATO in Brussels.
Your role
As a trainee at our office, you will support the office in administrative and operational tasks. You will deal with administrative issues such as invoice handling, communication, preparing meetings and office management. In addition to this, you will support the office in policy research, monitoring and drafting of position papers. This will include attending events and meetings at the EU Institutions, drafting of documents and newsletters and event management.
Your qualifications
We are looking for someone with a positive and flexible attitude, who is eager to be a part of increasing the impact of our work. You should have a relevant university degree (social sciences, law, economics, engineering or business administration) or a military background. Having completed a “stage” at one or more of the EU Institutions is a benefit.

You should be fluent/mother tongue in English and one additional EU language. Swedish is considered a benefit.

In order to be successful in this position, you will need to be able to multi-task and have a strong attention to detail. You will also need good social skills and be service-minded.

Compensation
In line with trainee compensation in Brussels.
