The European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) represents the interests of the 15 European car, van, truck and bus manufacturers at EU level. ACEA's members are BMW Group, DAF Trucks, Daimler, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford of Europe, Opel Group, Hyundai Motor Europe, Iveco, Jaguar Land Rover, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Renault Group, Toyota Motor Europe, Volkswagen Group, Volvo Cars and Volvo Group.

To support the Commercial Vehicles Director in all fields relevant to the commercial vehicle industry, ACEA is seeking a:

Commercial Vehicles Intern

Job description

The Commercial Vehicles Intern would support the Commercial Vehicles Director in:

EU policy and legislative matters affecting commercial vehicles, especially in Directive 96/53/EU (Weights & Dimensions) and Heavy Duty Vehicle CO2.

Organising and managing meetings of the Weight & Dimensions working group.

Preparation of presentations and informational materials to represent commercial vehicle interests with relevant stakeholders, including EU institutions.

Preparation and organisation of commercial vehicle-specific events.

Profile

The ideal candidate would have the following attributes:

Students or recent graduates in the fields of politics, law, business administration, or economics, with an interest in technical work, trucks and vehicle technology.

Fast learner, autonomous, communicative.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Good knowledge of IT tools and Microsoft Office Systems, in particular Excel.

Excellent presentational and communication skills (written and oral).

Excellent English; good working knowledge of French or German. Other European languages are an advantage.

Remuneration

This is a paid position, with the precise salary details to be arranged with the successful candidate based on their experience and qualifications.
