Important Information:
  • Select a PhD project approved to be considered for a Teaching Studentship from the list of PhD Opportunities.
  • You may then be invited to interview by the supervisor(s) you hope to complete your research with, and an independent member of academic staff.
  • You will then be contacted by the Chemistry Graduate Office to arrange an interview with you via SkypeTM by a panel of Chemistry academic staff to assess your research and teaching abilities. Interviews will take place on Thursday 24/25 February 2015.
Notes from Scholarships Times Advisory:
To apply for the above scholarship / award / grant you should submit the following documents and should possess the following:
  • Submit an online PhD Application Form by 5pm on Friday 30 January 2015 including a CV, personal statement and the names and email addresses of two suitable referees.  Include the name(s) of the supervisor(s) you are interested in working with.  In the Funding section, state that you intend to apply for a Teaching Studentship.
  • Submit a Teaching Studentship Application Form to chemgrad@york.ac.uk by 5pm on Friday 30 January 2015.
  • If your proposed supervisor, wishes to support your application, they will submit a Nomination Form to the Graduate Awards Panel by 13 February 2015.
Once all the information has been received by University of York and the assessment of the submitted documents is complete, you will be informed about your selection in the same.
