2014 NWDTC Postgraduate Studentships at University of Manchester in UK

University of Manchester offers postgraduate studentships for international students in the field of Economics, Social Anthropology, Sociology, Social Statistics and Politics. Studentships are available for undertaking postgraduate taught and postgraduate research program at University of Manchester. Eligibility:
-(PhD): UK Masters degree (or overseas equivalent) at Merit level, which MUST include a minimum 60% average in taught component, minimum 60% in dissertation, with no mark below 50%.
-(Masters followed by PhD): UK Bachelors degree (or overseas equivalent) at 2:1
-(PhD/MRes – Economics only): Full academic entry requirements can be found here .

Scholarship Open for: Students all nationalities can apply for these postgraduate studentships.
Duration: These postgraduate studentships will be offered for 3 or 4 years full-time and 6 or 8 years part-time depending on programme.
Value:
-
Standard Studentship: Home fees, £13,863 annual maintenance stipend and Students can claim for certain research expenses from the Research Training Support Grant.
-AQM (Advanced Quantitative Methods) – Economics and Social Statistics Programmes only:  Home fees, £16,863 annual maintenance stipend and students can claim for certain research expenses from the Research Training Support Grant.

Selection Criteria: These postgraduate studentships will be awarded on academic merit/research.
Notification: Successful applicants will be notified in March/April 2014.
