Internship program Research and Development in Energy Interface Europe

The internship program is focused on immersing the successful candidates in the activities of Interface Europe in the field of Research and Development in Energy.
The mission assigned to the interns mainly consists in supporting the activities carried out by Interface Europe's experts in Research and Development in Energy:
  1. monitoring EU current affairs in Research and innovation,
  2. defining strategies,
  3. drafting proposals,
  4. managing projects,
  5. giving lectures,
  6. managing communities and social networks,
  7. developing communication and exploitation activities in Research and innovation.
The specific tasks assigned to the interns are typically:
  • gathering information on the internet,
  • preparation of the communication tools (newsletters, updating the website and the project platform, databases, etc.),
  • organizing meetings and conferences,
  • preparing missions, minutes and reports and
  • any other support activities.
The program is open to all young graduates in Energy sciences/engineering holding a university degree, fluent in English, fully computer and internet literate and with good knowledge of European Affairs and in particular European Programs for Research and Innovation in Energy (Horizon 2020, COSME, etc.).
Additional educational qualifications, experience in the European Institutions and adequate knowledge of one or two more languages are considered assets.
  • Fluent in both English and French (other EU languages would be an asset)
  • Excellent ability in writing scientific English
Contract Type: Belgium contract : “convention d'immersion professionnelle” or Academic convention
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Availability: As soon as possible
Duration: typical: 6-month internship
Remuneration: according to the Belgian Law
Social insurance: On the basis of the Belgian law
