INTERNSHIP – AFRICAN DOWNSTREAM ANALYST

PFC Energy’s Downstream Group is now seeking an intern for its Paris operations: six months, full-time, with potential for progression to a permanent position as analyst. Approximate starting date :  End-January / Beginning-February 2013
French Convention de Stage required.

PFC Energy is a leading provider of industry analysis and strategic advisory services focusing on the financial, strategic, commercial and political aspects of the international oil and gas business. The company serves client organizations worldwide, including major oil and gas companies, financial institutions, governments, and multilateral agencies.

The role
PFC Energy is seeking an intern to support its African Downstream Group operations in Paris. The successful candidate will be:

  •     Gathering, interpreting and processing information on the downstream industry in African countries
  •     Providing research and production support for both subscription and consulting projects
Relevant training on the oil industry value chain will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate student to pursue professional growth as a supporting member in an established firm. Potential for progressing to a permanent position as analyst following successful completion of the internship.
Your profile
  •     You have excellent research and writing skills in English, as well as very strong quantitative and analytical skills and a sharp eye for detail.
  •     Previous professional experience in producing written analysis for publication would be a strong advantage.
  •     Background or experience, and interest in Africa
  •     Native-level proficiency in English is essential. French is not required, but additional languages would be an asset.
Remuneration
    SMIC (1425 Euros), Restaurant Coupons, and 50% of public transportation cost
