AHDB Brussels office is looking for a highly motivated intern. This
is a full-time remunerated position (736.20/ month) based in Brussels,
Belgium, commencing 21 January 2013 until 19 April 2013.
Interviews will take place between 7 to 16 January 2013 and will include a writing test. Only a group of pre-selected candidates will be contacted by email for an interview.
Key tasks:
- Monitoring EU policies in the area of agriculture and environment;
- Drafting reports and briefing notes;
- Covering key events, EU conferences and meetings and report on their content;
- Organising meetings/press visits;
- Administrative work;
- Liaising with EU Commission and Brussels based industry organisations.
Minimum requirements:
- Native English speaker or equivalent;
- Excellent communication skills in French;
- Good knowledge of EU agricultural policies;
- Excellent knowledge of the EU decision-making process;
- Proven drafting and research skills;
- Previous experience in EU institutions/consultancy/lobbying organisation.
Skills/attributes considered as an asset:
- Proactive, resourceful and capable of taking initiatives;
- Service-oriented and “Can Do” attitude;
- Attention to details;
- Good networking/interpersonal skills.
