About Scholarship: In the framework of the Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program (CMU-Portugal), FCT and the Information and Communication Technologies Institute (ICTI) open a call for applications for Doctoral Program Scholarships, taking place in Portugal and at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU).

Eligibility:
- These scholarships are available to persons holding a masters degree or equivalent, in the areas of the CMU-Portugal program.
- Additionally, applicants must demonstrate fluency in English.
- Candidates are strongly recommended to present the results of both the “TOEFL Test” (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and the “GRE GENERAL TEST” (general exam of the Graduate Record Examination) or, if it is the case, the results of the “GMAT” (Graduate Management Admission Test).

Duration: The maximum duration of PhD scholarships awarded to successful candidates who have held identical scholarships under FCT programs will be calculated taking into consideration the number of years elapsed under all relevant scholarships.
Value: The amount of scholarship is defined by FCT and includes the tuitions for the Portuguese University.
Selection Criteria: Evaluation is principally based on the merit and motivation of the applicant.
