University of Gloucestershire offers academic scholarships for
UK/EU Students in the UK. Scholarships are available for pursuing
undergraduate degree level at University of Gloucestershire. The
Academic Scholarship is worth £2,500, of which £1,000 will be paid as a
cash award and £1,500 as a fee waiver, in the first year of study to
UK/EU students who meet the eligibility criteria. This scholarship
recognizes strong academic performance by students in their studies
prior to entering the University. Notification of final awards will be
made in Autumn 2014.
About Scholarship: The University of Gloucestershire is offering an Academic Scholarship for 2014 entrants under the new regime. This scholarship recognises strong academic performance by students in their studies prior to entering the University. The Academic Scholarship is worth £2,500, of which £1,000 will be paid as a cash award and £1,500 as a fee waiver, in the first year of study to UK/EU students who meet the following eligibility criteria. Those students in receipt of the full maintenance grant, on the basis of household income of less than £25,000, will continue to receive a fee waiver of £1,500 in each year of their course, excluding any placement year. Students in receipt of funding through the National Scholarship Programme (NSP), Care Leavers Scholarship, and Partnership Fee Waiver, are eligible for the £1,000 cash element of the Academic Scholarship in their first year only

Eligibility: Students must:
-have applied for a full time Foundation/BA/BSc degree for which the fee charged for UK/EU students is either £6,000 or £9,000,
-have achieved ABB grades or higher over three A levels, or the HEFCE approved equivalent, in their studies prior to entering the University,
-be a new entrant to the University for the 2014/15 academic year,
-be entering their first year of undergraduate study in September 2014,
-not hold an equivalent or higher qualification i.e. you must not already hold a qualification that is equivalent or higher to the BA/BSc degree that you will be undertaking,
-have met their conditions of entry.
Scholarship Open for: The students of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and UK can apply for these scholarships.
Duration: Scholarships will be offered for the first year of study.

Apply: For most of our fee waivers and bursaries, students will not need to submit a separate application, as information supplied on their UCAS application together with their Student Finance England assessment of household income enables us to identify eligible students. Potentially eligible students will be notified once confirmation of firm acceptance of offers and household income details, are received. At this point students will be asked for additional documentary evidence if applicable to them.
Deadline: The application deadline is 15 January 2014.
