2014 University of Sussex ESRC Postgraduate Scholarships in UK

The Economic and Social Research Council offers Sussex ESRC 1+3 and +3 Postgraduate Scholarships in six innovative pathways. Postgraduate masters/research studentships will be awarded for a period of either three years for those with an ESRC recognised research training qualification (+3), or four years (1+3) for those without. Scholarships cover a contribution to fees (currently £3,900 per annum) and a maintenance allowance (currently £13,726). Applicants should aim to apply for a place on a course of study at the University by early January 2014. The application deadline is 28th February 2014. 
About Scholarship: The ESRC funded Doctoral Training Centre (DTC) at the University of Sussex is delighted to offer up to 22 studentships in 6 innovative pathways. Scholarships cover a contribution to fees (currently £3,900 per annum) and a maintenance allowance (currently £13,726). 
Study: Scholarships are provided in six innovative pathways: Understanding Behaviour, Innovation and Sustainability: Management and Policy, Global Social Transformations, Knowledge and Society: Well-being, Health and Communities, Citizenship, Justice and Security and Global Economic Performance at University of Sussex. ESRC recognized Masters programmes for the 1+3 route offered by the University of Sussex are MRes in Psychological Methods, MSc(s) in Applied Social Psychology, Foundations of Clinical Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Science and Technology Policy, Technology and Innovation Management, Social Research Methods, Social Research Methods, Social Research Methods, Economics, Development Economics and International Economics.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing postgraduate masters/research program at University of Sussex. Scholarship Provider: The Economic and Social Research Council Scholarship can be taken at: UK 
Eligibility: -Applicants must hold at least a UK Upper Second Class Honours degree, or equivalent. The studentships will be awarded for a period of either three years for those with an ESRC recognised research training qualification (+3), or four years (1+3) for those without.
-The awards are only available to UK/EU students, studentships will be payable at the equivalent of the UK/EU fee per annum for full time students and in the case of UK students* will also include a maintenance grant (for information the 2013-14 rate is £13,726) to cover living expenses. Studentships are paid pro rata for part time students.
-*EU students may be eligible for a maintenance grant when applying to the Global Economic Performance Pathway only. 

Scholarship Open for: The students of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and UK can apply for these scholarships. 
Number of awards: Up to 22 studentships
Duration: The studentships will be awarded for a period of either three years for those with an ESRC recognised research training qualification (+3), or four years (1+3) for those without.
