Faculty of Science of University of Amsterdam is offering science
scholarship for master students in Netherlands. Students who are awarded
this scholarship are expected to complete their first year of study
with good results in order to receive the scholarship for the second
academic year. The prerequisite for obtaining the scholarship for a
second year is the achievement of at least 80% of the 60 possible
credits. The ASTS is a full scholarship of €10,000 per year, for a
maximum two academic years. It covers tuition fees and part of the
living expenses.
About Scholarship: The Amsterdam Science Talent Scholarship (ASTS) programme offered by the Faculty of Science is aimed at talented students from the Netherlands and the European Economic Area who choose to do a Master’s programme in Green Life Sciences, Gravitation Astroparticle Physics (GRAPPA) or Sustainability-the Molecular Approach. The ASTS is a full scholarship of €10,000 per year, for a maximum two academic years. It covers tuition fees and part of the living expenses.
Study: Scholarship is provided for Science courses (Master’s programme in either Green Life Sciences, Gravitation Astroparticle Physics (GRAPPA) or Sustainability-the Molecular Approach) offered by the University of Amsterdam in Netherlands.
Course Level: This scholarship is available for pursuing master’s degree level at the University of Amsterdam in Netherlands.

Eligibility: You are eligible for the scholarship if:
-You have submitted a complete application and meet the admission criteria of one of the following programmes:
-the GRAPPA track from the Master’s programme in Astronomy & Astrophysics and Physics
-the ‘Green Life Sciences’ track from the Master’s programme in Biological Sciences
-the ‘Sustainability – the Molecular Approach’ track from the Master’s programme in Chemistry
-You have a grade point average (GPA) corresponding to the top 10% of students from your graduating class. This means an overall grade point average equivalent to at least:
-3.5 (GPA American system)
-1st class honours / upper division British system
-8+ (Dutch EC-system)
-You are able to comply with the conditions to obtain a Dutch visa (if applicable).
-You meet the English language requirements of the Faculty of Science.
Scholarship Open for: The students of Netherlands and European Economic Area can apply for the scholarship.
Duration: Scholarship is offered for two academic years.
Value: The ASTS is a full scholarship of €10,000 per year, for a maximum two academic years. It covers tuition fees and part of the living expenses.
Selection Criteria: The ASTS committee takes all the submitted information into consideration and will make the final decisions.
