The topic of this year´s Euranet Awards is the rights of European citizens. Euranet will offer a selected number of candidates the opportunity to travel to the European Parliament in Brussels on 8-10 November and record the material for a 4 to 5-minute radio report. Euranet will organise travel to Brussels and hotel accommodation, and, if necessary, provide audio recording equipment.
Timeframe:
- 19 October: Deadline for applications.
- 8-10 November: The successful candidates gather audio material in Brussels.
- 20 November: Deadline for candidates to submit the final version of their reports.
- December: The results are announced.
The overall winner will be given a four-week internship at the relevant radio station during 2012, with a grant to cover travel and accommodation expenses. It will be possible to extend the internship by another two weeks if the candidate is able to work in a second language covered by that station. The winner and four runners-up will also receive an iPad.
