Operations microfinance Intern – Kirghizistan

OXUS is a microfinance group created in 2005 at the initiative of ACTED, the Agency for Technical Co-operation and Development, a French worldwide NGO. Capitalizing on ACTED’s 10 years experience in microfinance, OXUS currently features 4 MFIs, in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan and Democratic Republic of Congo.

Position profile The trainee will work with the Operation Department, in coordination with Octopus, an IT Company developing the Core Banking System of Oxus Group. ODN is located in Paris and Octopus is located in Bishkek. The trainee could be located on one of these two locations, and could do short term missions in Central Asia or Africa.
• He/she will be under the responsibility of the Operation Department.

Qualifications • Master's degree or equivalent from engineering school or mathematic university;
• Basic knowledge in mathematic model and regression system;
• Strong analytical skills;
• Capacity to organize and moderate a meeting;
• Interest in microfinance, Central Asia and/or RDC;
• Fluency in English and French is a prerequisite.
• Russian speaker will be a plus.

Conditions • Internship
• 6 months
• Gross remuneration per month: 527,75 Euros
• If located in Bishkek, travel and accommodation are provided
• If located in Paris, 50% of transports is refunded plus “tickets restaurant”
