Corporate Governance Research Internship

POSITION OVERVIEW:

ISS' Brussels office is seeking one intern to assist ISS' corporate governance analysts in the preparation of QuickScore reports and proxy analyses of publicly traded companies. Specific tasks include collecting data, drafting vote recommendations, and contacting corporate issuers with information enquiries.
We offer a profound training in and exposure to the latest corporate governance developments in Europe. You will gain understanding of technical terminology in the corporate governance and investment management field.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Fluency (both spoken and written) in English AND Russian(proficiency in German would be an advantage);
• A bachelor degree in law, finance, and/or economics, or in the process of obtaining such a degree;
• A good eye for detail, strong analytical ability, numeracy, strong oral and written communication skills, a basic understanding of capital markets, the ability to work independently while cooperating with other team members.

This internship is paid (€ 1000 monthly + lunch vouchers + bonus if appropriate) and will start in September 2014. The assignments run for 4 months. Applicants should email a cover letter and CV in Englishto brian.hughes@issgovernance.com.
