Translation Stagiaire with journalistic interest (DE-EN) in Berlin

EurActiv operates a trainee scheme in Berlin for young people providing graded learning in EU policies. Interns are allocated either to editorial, commercial or technical tasks, depending on availability and abilities/experience. Translation Stagiaire with journalistic interest
(DE-EN) in Berlin
(Starting Date: September 2013)

Profile

  • English mother tongue obligatory
  • Very good command of German
  • Translation Degree and strong interest in  journalism
  • Frequent user of internet services and familiarity with MS Office
  • Proactive, open-minded, flexible and team-player
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and dynamic environment
  • Highly-motivated and able to face tight deadlines 
  • Working knowledge of Computer assisted translation (CAT)
Responsibilities include
  • Translation of articles, headlines and abstracts from German into English
  • General office and administrative tasks
