Each year, EMBL and Marie Curie Actions fund 20 EIPOD fellowships for
interdisciplinary research project. These fellowships are open to the
citizens of all nationalities who hold a PhD (or 4 years of full-time
equivalent research experience) before the start of EIPOD position and
are awarded for three years. In addition or instead of providing a
self-defined project, candidates may also select up to two available
EIPOD project ideas, which should then be developed into a short
research project proposal.
About Scholarship: Each year, EMBL and Marie Curie Actions will fund about 20 EIPOD positions involving at least two research groups, preferably located in different units. Each project will have one scientific supervisor who will officially host the EIPOD, but all projects will involve extensive collaboration with the partner lab(s).
Study: Successful candidates will pursue interdisciplinary projects, transferring techniques to a new context or connecting scientific fields that are usually separate, across at least two labs at the five EMBL sites.
Course Level: The postdoctoral fellowships are awarded for interdisciplinary project. Applicants can propose an interdisciplinary project according to their scientific interest or may select from a set of predefined research ideas which they then develops into a full research proposal.
