Internship as Trainee for the Good Trading Practices (GTP) scheme
- The GTP is a Food & Feed safety Assurance Scheme developed ten years ago by COCERAL, the EU Association representing the trade of cereals, rice, feedstuffs, oilseeds, olive oil, oils and fats and agro-supply.
- The GTP covering the collection, storage, trading and transport of the above-mentioned products, aims at assisting Food & Feed Business Operators in:
- Implementing good trading and hygiene practices relating to operating sites, premises, equipment, transport, waste, and staff;
- Identifying and controlling potential risks for consumers’ safety and establishing appropriate procedures based on the principles of the HACCP system.
- The GTP manages and supervises certification services via 15 independent and approved Certification Bodies responsible for auditing app. 150 companies EU-wide. We are also active in major Global and EU initiatives in relation to food & Feed certification.
- The GTP gives the opportunity to a young and motivated person to get a very practical experience on how the industry and operators are managing food & Feed safety all along the chain.
Assist the GTP Manager in his daily workload, in particular:
- Actively participating in the daily management of the GTP scheme
- Communicating and cooperating with Certification Bodies and certified companies.
- Managing and updating the GTP website and its related database
- Supporting in meetings and events
- Reporting on media and legislative coverage
- University degree in Agronomy, Food technology, EU political and administrative studies, law.
- Interest in agricultural, environmental and food and feed safety issues.
- Strong team player and willing to integrate in an active professional environment
- Excellent English and French proficiency. Any other EU language is an asset.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills: motivated, meticulous, flexible and professional.
- Eyes for details, strong skills in editing and proofreading.
- Computer and IT skills
- Practical experience in a relevant company, knowledge in Food & Feed Safety matters and EU procedures will be considered as assets.
- Duration: 6 months minimum
- Financial: paid internship
- Beginning of employment: as soon as possible
