of tuition scholarships and grants specifically targeted for
international students.
Description
International Cultural Service Program (ICSP) Tuition Scholarships
The ICSP scholarship awards 10-20 new competitive scholarships to international students each year. Scholarships apply to tuition only and range from $9,000-$27,000 per year. The ICSP scholarship has a cultural service component which requires students to give presentations about their home country to children, community organizations, and UO students, faculty and staff. ICSP scholarships are based on financial need, academic merit, and the ability to make presentations to diverse groups of people. ICSP scholarships are renewable.
Eligibility
Applicants may be new or current UO students. New students must apply for admission to UO by January 15, 2013. Current students must be enrolled in a full-time course of study at the UO with a nonimmigrant visa (F-1 or J-1) and have a minimum UO grade point average of 3.0 for all students.

International Dean's Excellence Award (IDEA)
The IDEA scholarship is a merit-based, partial-tuition scholarship awarded to new international undergraduate applicants entering in the fall (September). The scholarship is valued at $6,000-$8,000 and is renewable each year based on academic performance.
Eligibility
This is a merit-based scholarship based on official academic records submitted with the UO admissions application. Applicants must be new international students admitted for fall term (September) only.
Application Procedure
To be considered for the IDEA scholarship, applicants must apply for admission to the UO before the priority admissions deadline of January 15, 2013. There is no separate scholarship application required.

Graduate Teaching Fellowships
Graduate Teaching Fellowships (GTFs) provide a tuition waiver and a stipend (salary) for the academic year. GTFs can include teaching, research or administrative positions. These awards are subject to United States income taxes.
Eligibility
GTF positions are available only to graduate students.
