CEEP represents at EU level enterprises and organisations from across Europe, both public and private, at national, regional and local level, which are public employers or providers of services of general interest. CEEP is one of the three general cross-industry Social Partners recognised by the EU Commission, i.e. it represents public service employers in the European Social Dialogue.
We are currently looking for a trainee in the social affairs policy field. Desired starting date: 14
January 2013 for a period of 6 months.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
The main task of the intern is to assist the Policy Officer working with social affairs, social dialogue and macroeconomic policies, but also assisting other colleagues in the secretariat in their daily work.
This include amongst others:
Recent graduate, ideally with a Master’s degree and a strong interest in European labour market policies in general, including the European social dialogue. Candidates who need to do a traineeship to complete a Master degree in European Affairs, in particular European Labour law, might also be considered.

- Attending both internal and external meetings and afterwards writing meeting reports
- Draft policy briefings/background documents ahead of meetings
- Supporting the secretariat by undertaking administrative tasks
- Media and policy monitoring and analysis
- Contacts with members and external actors under the supervision of the Policy Officer for Social Affairs
Recent graduate, ideally with a Master’s degree and a strong interest in European labour market policies in general, including the European social dialogue. Candidates who need to do a traineeship to complete a Master degree in European Affairs, in particular European Labour law, might also be considered.
Required skills
- English language skills at native-speaker level with very strong written abilities. Knowledge of other languages, in particular French, is an asset.
- Strong writing skills, including experience in preparing PowerPoint presentations
- Eye for details and highly organised
- Hard working and respecting deadlines
- Able to adapt in a multicultural environment
