Internship Position for the Joint Technical Secretariat – Munich/Germany

The Alpine Space Programme 2007-2013 is part of the "European Territorial Cooperation" objective of the European Union. Together with 12 other programmes it strives for transnational cooperation in and between the European regions. The programme’s overall aim is to increase competitiveness and attractiveness of the cooperation area by developing joint actions in fields where transnational cooperation is required for sustainable solutions. Main tasks of the intern:

- Support to the Communication Officer in the task of promotion of the results of the 47 Alpin

Space projects :

- Analysis and thematic classification of outputs and results produced by the Alpine Space projects
- Support to the production and dissemination of results postcards: translations, participation to the implementation of the dissemination plan (contacts classification)
- Support in other communication tasks (e.g. website updates, social media management, etc.)
- Assist the Project Officers in monitoring the implementation of co-funded projects
- Support the JTS in all task for technical and organisational implementation of the programme

Required qualifications and skills:

- Fluent in spoken and written English. Knowledge of another language of the Alpine Space (esp. German, Italian, Slovene) is an advantage;
- At least three years of undergraduate studies at University level on public relations, communication, journalism or related fields;
- A flair for the Alps and interest in the thematic fields of spatial planning, environmental sciences, regional economic development;
- Good computer knowledge in MSOffice (especially in Word, Excel and Power Point);
- Internet literacy;
- Experiences in website management (CMS) and illustration programmes (e.g. Photoshop, INDESIGN) is welcomed;
- Capacity to work independently;
- Service-oriented and friendly attitude; Cooperative and team-oriented way of working.

Terms & conditions

The internship will last 4 months. The remuneration is of 600€ monthly. Travelling costs (second class train ticket) from the intern’s home town to Munich at the beginning and return at the end of the internship are covered by the programme.
The general weekly working time is 40.1 hours.

Accommodation

The JTS can assist the trainee in finding an appropriate accommodation. In Munich, rooms can be rented for approximately 300€ per month.
