Our company is young, vibrant, full of energy, multicultural, and English is the spoken and written language in the office, which is based in Montpellier, in the south of France. With 90% of our revenue being made internationally, we also have offices near Gatwick Airport in the UK and in New York.
We are currently looking for an an intern who would work as a reporter in our Montpellier office for 10 months, delivering multi-media content to our Food Processing and Packaging websites, starting from December 2012/January 2013.
Our flagship titles include www.foodproductiondaily.com, with an independently audited monthly readership of more than 60,000 unique visitors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying content ideas appropriate to our audience and delivering them in a multi-media format spanning online text articles, audio podcasts and video reports.
Previous media experience is less important than a passion for news and a dedication to reach the very highest standards of multi-media journalism.
Applicants must have an appropriate qualification, and an ability to turn your hand to the nuts and bolts of food processing and packaging and the science of food safety would be a distinct advantage.
You will be expected to acquire multi-media journalism skills quickly. Our journalists produce sharp, tightly-written, independent news to exacting deadlines – so you must work well under pressure and relish challenges.
