12-month paid Internship in Brussels, Open to Events and Marketing Assistants !

SHECCO is an integrated Market development specialist supporting the introduction of climate friendly technologies, with a special focus on Natural Refrigerants. Our philosophy is to bring these technologies faster to the market in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions as soon as possible and thereby “sustaining our atmosphere”.
To support its activities in the area of event planning and in the organisation of policy and industry meetings as well as to support our Events team in customer relations and sales, shecco is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Events & Marketing Assistant.

Mission

The Events Assistant will support the Events team, ensuring the delivery of high quality events and strengthening our customer relations. This will include all aspects of organising an event such as planning, practical and logistical preparation, website management, online marketing as well as onsite execution and post-event tasks. She/he will be involved in the management of all shecco events ranging from high profile conferences to smaller meetings in Europe, USA, South America and Asia.
The purpose of these events in general is to bring together leading Policy and Industry experts from all around the globe to discuss and influence the future of climate friendly technologies. Beside Events Management, she/he will be involved in contacting existing and potential Industry customers.

More specifically, some of the tasks will be:

  • Drafting of articles about ATMOsphere events, Industry events and sponsors companies products and services, email campaigns, press releases and other marketing material;
  • Updating events website, e.g. speaker’s bios, programme updates, presentations;
  • Updating ATMOsphere profile on social media (Twitter, Linked in);
  • Updating Industry platforms (R744.com, ammonia21.com, hydrocarbons21.com, R718.com) with product and company information;
  • Assisting in organising company’s presence at Industry trade shows;
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of ATMOsphere America, ATMOsphere Europe and ATMOsphere Asia events (Logistical support before, during, and after an event):
    • Assisting in the preparation of budgets & time schedules, preparing project and marketing plans;
    • Communication and coordination with participants, speakers, sponsors or partners;
    • Assisting with all questions related to registration, visa letters, team members or speakers travel arrangements, etc.;
    • Provision of on-site support: from the setting up of exhibition booths to collecting evaluation forms;
    • Post-event tasks: participant feedback, lessons learned, drafting content-related reports, sponsor and speaker follow-up;
  • Assisting in planning and execution of events for lobbying campaigns, trade shows, industry meetings etc. at our offices in Brussels.
The position is a mixture of organisational, communication, creative and administrative tasks, requiring a personality with a flexible and positive mindset.

Profile/Requirements

  • Very strong interest in planning and organising events;
  • Sociable, ‘people person’;
  • Very good time management and keen eye for detail;
  • Strong interest in environmental issues;
  • Quick learner, proactive approach, and hands-on;
  • Team player also able to work autonomously;
  • Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines;
  • Excellent multi-tasking capabilities;
  • Should be able to travel when needed;
  • Flexible, must be able to work overtime when needed.

Requirements

  • University degree (Marketing, European Studies, Environmental Studies, or similar);
  • Proven experience in the organisation of conferences, workshops, seminars, University events, or similar;
  • Marketing experience;
  • Sales experience a plus;
  • Excellent written and spoken English, ideally mother tongue;
  • Additional languages a plus.
