This research fellowship award is offered by Gonville & Caius College which is provided for graduate and research students who have completed the research maximum four years ago and who coming from the United Kingdom. The applicants should be interested in the field of art and science.

Program Description
Gonville & Caius College invites applications for stipendiary Research Fellowships in both Arts and Sciences. The Fellowships will be tenable for four years, normally from 1 October 2014. To apply, you are required to register. This enables you to save your application and revisit/edit it before submitting, or to check its status. It is recommended that you register as soon as possible.

Award Amount

• The current stipend of a Research Fellow resident in the College who has no other emoluments except College teaching is £19,635 p.a., rising by three annual increments to £22,025 p.a. Assistance with housing is given to non-resident Research Fellows. A further allowance of £1,317 is payable in respect of the first child. Reimbursement of certain research expenses totaling up to £1,000 p.a. will also be available.
• The stipend of Research Fellows who are in receipt of financial support from other sources will be by arrangement according to individual circumstances. Research Fellows may join the University’s Superannuation Scheme.
• A Research Fellow will receive the normal privileges of a Fellow, including the provision of rooms and some meals. Reimbursement of certain research expenses will also be available.

Eligibility and Criteria
Before you apply this fellowship award, please consider the following eligibility and criteria:

1. Application for a Research Fellowship is open to men and women in any academic discipline in Arts and Sciences.
2. Candidates must be graduates or research students, who have completed not more than four years of full-time research (or part-time equivalent) by 1st October 2013.
3. Candidates should be university graduates or research students who have either submitted their doctoral dissertation after 30 September 2012 or are able to include in their application a substantial draft of all or part of their projected dissertation, which is yet to be submitted.

Please note that the statement will be read by people outside as well as inside the candidate’s own discipline and should therefore be intelligible to scholars in other subjects.

Other Information
At a later stage short-listed science candidates may be asked to provide a statement from their proposed Head of Department confirming that adequate finance and facilities are available. Interviews for short listed candidates will be held in the College on 17th January 2014.
