Burson-Marsteller Brussels is looking to fill a six months stage within our Environment practice with a focus on political communications and environmental policy.
Knowledge of EU environment policies is helpful for candidates but also creativity and broader communications skills including drafting and digital/social media experience are important.
We are looking for independent thinkers, creative individuals and team players to join our team and learn about EU consultancy on the job.
Much of the work done by the Environment team concerns pesticides, biocides, electrical equipment, waste, water, resource efficiency, restriction of substances and REACH.
The candidate will provide daily monitoring and research on what is going on in the European Union concerning environment topics, as well as doing research on issues and identify new items that could be of interest for the clients. The role will also include the delivery of traditional communications materials (e.g. brochures, factsheets and posters).
In addition the candidate will attend team meetings and will be incorporated into client teams and participate as a junior consultant working on client projects, taking notes, preparing briefs, etc.
Eligibility to work in the EU is a must. Excellent oral and written English skills are necessary. Other European languages are an asset – German would be particularly useful.
