COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT (INTERNSHIP)
Friends of Europe is looking for a dynamic Communication Assistant. The qualified candidate will be responsible for supporting the Communication Manager in the production of publications and external communications.Responsibilities:
- Preparing the layout and finalizing Friends of Europe’s publications for printing and online uploading. (E.g. Conference packs, conference reports, newsletters, event invitations/reminder and policy papers)
- Overseeing the publication production (choice of pictures, preparation of inside content with the Programme Manager)
- Assisting the Outreach & Events Manager in implementing communication strategies and campaigns.
- Designing online/printed communication material such as: banners, adverts, flyers etc.
- Maintaining Friends of Europe Flickr gallery up to date following events
Skills:
- Knowledge of social media and new communication tools
- Dynamic and well-organized with an eye for detail
- Prior experience in designing communication material is a plus
- Strong graphical and computer skills. Working knowledge of In-design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Publisher and PowerPoint is desired
- Ability to deal with and manage tight deadlines
- Ability to interact with colleagues and partners in a professional manner
- Embrace a solution oriented attitude

WEBSITE AND IT ASSISTANT (INTERNSHIP)
Friends of Europe is looking for a dynamic Website and IT Assistant. The qualified candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to Programme Managers and updating the organisations’ website and social media.Responsibilities:
- Updating websites with news and event related information provided by Programme Managers.
- Uploading publications, guest contributions and op-eds on the website and disseminating through social media.
- Making sure the website is up-to-date and all the links are active.
- Updating social media (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Vimeo) with information provided by the Programme Manager.
- Proactively updating website and video content
- Being the 'Helpdesk' in case of team's questions on website
- Updating the website manual
- Keeping the rest of the team informed with changes and new content on the website. (weekly updates)
- Training Project Assistants on basic functions of the website and overseeing the creation of event’s pages.
Skills:
- Web design experience
- Strong graphical and communication skills
- Ability to deal with and manage tight deadlines
- Ability to interact with colleagues and partners in a professional manner
- Embrace a solution orientated attitude
- Prior experience/knowledge of HTML, Photoshop, In-design, MS Office.
- Prior experience in programming is a plus.
