Internship at the Monitoring and Evaluation Practice – Transtec HQ
The Monitoring and Evaluation Department at Transtec is looking for a dynamic and well-motivated young graduate or undergraduate entering the job market and interested in the field of evaluation of development and humanitarian interventions. See below for a description of the position and our requirements.
Responsibilities and profile:
The tasks to be performed during the internship include:
  • Assist the project managers in the implementation of evaluation contracts:
    • Contribute to the maintaining of the expert database
    • Manage travel and logistic arrangements for international experts (including in developing countries)
    • Support in the organization of meetings
    • Support in the preparation of reports and invoices
    • Support in the managing of budget and related tasks
  • Support in the drafting of evaluation offers:
    • Assisting the team in the preparation of offers, ie compilation of data, administrative documents, layout
    • Assisting the team in the identification and recruiting of experts
    • Edit and language check of the proposals
Requirements and skills of the candidate:
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work under supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure and towards multiple deadlines
  • Team orientation
  • Excellent English (nearly mother tongue equivalent)
  • French: strong asset
  • Full, high-level mastering of MS Office and web-based searches on Windows platforms
  • A previous and comparable experience would be a distinct advantage
  • Theoretical background in the evaluation field would constitute an asset
Location: Brussels
Duration: 6 months
