EPIA, the European Photovoltaic (PV) Industry Association, with
headquarters in Brussels, is seeking a highly motivated person to
support the activities of its Policy department.EPIA’s mission is to promote PV electricity in the European market and to give its global membership a strong and unique voice towards European decision makers. The Policy Department is in charge inter alia of developing targeted intelligence on markets, industry and technologies with a view to move the debate on issues related to the PV industry and renewable energy in general.
Main tasks
The intern will support the work of the Policy Department through the following tasks:
- Weekly monitoring of the European agenda and trends in the energy industry:
- European agenda: European Commission activities, relevant committees of the European Parliament, Council’s Working Groups and Think Tanks
- Energy industry: Companies development, new capacities and technological developments
- Technical analysis of or contribution to policy documents
- Contribution to the content of EPIA communication tools
- Participation in relevant conferences and reporting
- Organizational support to the team and to the EPIA President
- Student status and internship taking place in the frame of the study programme
- Master’s degree in political science, economy or in a relevant engineering field
- An interest for the electricity sector and in particular for the development of renewable energies
- Analytical mind, ability to extract and formulate clear messages
- First experience in the Brussels political environment or in the energy sector is an advantage
- Fluent English
- Excellent command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently as well as in team and under time pressure
As per Belgian legislation, a monthly reimbursement (750 EUR) for expenses on a standard basis is planned. A signed Convention de Stage (a tripartite agreement signed by EPIA, the intern and his/her university or college) is required. Prospective interns must fulfil this requirement to apply.
