EPIA, the European Photovoltaic (PV) Industry Association, with
headquarters in Brussels, is recruiting a highly motivated person to
support the business development activities in the Membership &
Business Development Unit.EPIA represents members active along the whole solar PV value chain: from silicon, cells and module production to systems development and PV electricity generation as well as marketing and sales. EPIA is a highly dynamic and multi-cultural organisation at the centre of EU affairs. The Membership & Business Development Unit is the association’s hub for all membership related issues (from administration and organisation of members’ events to replying to daily inquiries), it also develops and carries out EPIA’s members acquisition and other business development activities of the association. Furthermore, the unit is handling all partnerships (conference & media) and is organising the visibility of the association during the sector’s main fairs.
The intern will be managed by the Head of Membership & Business Development and will support the work of the unit through the following tasks:
Main missions:
- Support the implementation of the association’s membership acquisition plan
- Setting up meetings with potential members/EPIA’s clients
- Intelligence gathering on EPIA’s prospects (incl. follow of company news, industry and market trends)
- Preparation of company background information, targeted sales pitches and EPIA presentation
- Support the development of EPIA’s conference & media partnerships
- Participation in other income creation activities of the association (sponsorship, commercial partnerships, etc.)
- Assistance in account management (incl. regular updates of the CRM database)
- General assistance and organisational support to the unit
- Answering the association’s switchboard, when required
Profile:
- Student status and internship taking place in the frame of the study programme
- Fluent English (native speaker level preferred), any other European language is an asset
- Degree in marketing or equivalent
- Willing to work in a dynamic international association
- First experience in an association and with members recruitment, sponsorships, fund raising, or similar
- Outstanding IT skills and first experience with CRM database and/or website content management
- Knowledge of ‘Constant contact’ mailing system is an asset
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent networking, negotiations and sales skills, flexibility, responsibility
- Customer oriented and highly organised
- Ability to work independently as well as in team and under pressure
- A passion for renewable energies
Important - Conditions
As per Belgian legislation, a monthly reimbursement (750EUR) for expenses on a standard basis is planned. A signed Convention de Stage (a tripartite agreement signed by EPIA, the intern and his/her university or college) is required. Prospective interns must fulfil this requirement to apply.
