Le bureau de l’AEDH basé à Bruxelles recherche actuellement un stagiaire pour appuyer son travail sur la thématique de la protection des données personnelles. Le stage, qui débutera début septembre, s’étalera sur une période de 5 à 6 mois.
Tâches et responsabilités :
  •  Suivi des politiques européennes relatives à la protection des données personnelles ainsi qu’aux principaux thèmes de l’AEDH
  •  Suivi des développements politiques à l’échelle nationale et suivi des débats et initiatives des organisations membres
  •  Participation à des événements à Bruxelles et rédaction de comptes rendus
  •  Participation à des activités de recherche et rédaction de rapport et synthèses

Compétences et profil :

  •  Très bonnes connaissances des institutions de l’UE, du processus de décision de l’UE et des politiques européennes
  •  Une expérience précédente dans le domaine des droits de l’Homme et/ou des politiques européennes est un avantage

Selection Criteria: Applicants should be high caliber graduates with the personal, intellectual and interpersonal qualities necessary for leadership. Evidence of leadership experience and potential is critical. Each country has a list of priority areas in which it is looking for Chevening Scholars. The typical successful applicant:
-Is a professional graduate, in early or mid-career, who displays both intellectual ability and clear leadership potential;

UNIL Masters Grants for International Students in Switzerland, 2015/2016

Applications are invited for UNIL Masters Grants available for foreign students for autumn semester 2015 and spring semester 2016 intake. The grant may not be used for any complementary studies required to enroll on the Master’s degree and may not be used for EMBAs or Masters of Advanced studies. The amount of the grant is CHF 1,600.- per month from 15 September to 15 July, for a duration not exceeding the regulation minimum period of the programme. Applications must be submitted before 15 December 2014.
Study Subject(s): Candidates must choose a Master’s programme from among those offered by the UNIL, except: Master of Medicine, Master of Arts in Public Management and Policy, Master of Arts in Sciences and Practices of Education, Master of Law from the Universities of Zurich and Lausanne and Master of Law in Criminal Sciences, judiciary mention at University of Lausanne. Notification: The SASC will inform candidates of the decision taken by the UNIL in writing latest by the end of March.

Communications Intern, Brussels International Crisis Group

The International Crisis Group is currently seeking a Communications Intern in our Brussels HQ. The internship is designed for 6 months, full-time, beginning on the 1st of September 2014, but a shorter duration or part-time arrangements are possible. The internship would suit a candidate with a recent graduate degree in journalism, media, communications, or similar. Knowledge of political science and international relations are an asset.

Each year, the government of Canada offers doctoral research scholarships for international students. Scholarships are awarded for pursuing doctoral studies at Québec University in the natural sciences, mathematics and engineering fields. The maximum annual value of the scholarship is $20 000. The scholarship holder may also receive up to nine payments totaling $60 000 during the nine sessions or 36 months. University representatives who preselect applicants must fill out the applicant nomination form, which is available on the extranet site of the Fund. The form must be submitted electronically by September 30th, 2014, at 4 p.m. pre selected applicants will receive a personal identification number (PIN) and password and must then fill out an e-form. Research and Innovation Communication Intern at Cefic – Profile
The Research and Innovation department of Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council, has a rolling programme of internships for communications students reaching the end of their studies and young communications graduates. Cefic, the forum and voice of the chemical industry in Europe, is the largest European trade group in Brussels; we offer valuable and rewarding work experience in a welcoming, stimulating multicultural team.
The Research and Innovation department needs interns with excellent spoken and written English to manage or help with various projects relating to resource and energy efficiency,  water, raw materials,  biotechnology, smart cities, innovation for growth and sustainable chemistry in the following areas:
  • EU project communication
  • Publishing: web, print, social media
  • Research and analysis; copywriting; drafting and publishing documents or blog posts

The intern will work with colleagues in the Research and Innovation team in charge of specific issues, and report to the Communication Manager.   • Once the intern is more familiar with the organisation, attend meetings and make suggestions on ways to communicate around a specific issue or event.

Press & Communication intern The Council of European Municipalities and Regions

In preparation of the CEMR international “Conference on citizenship and twinning” to be held in Italy by the end of 2014, we are looking for a native or near-native Italian-speaker with an excellent command of English and good command of French (spoken and written).
The candidate must be a student in a European university and able to set up a trainee agreement between him/herself, the university and CEMR.
1. Main tasks and responsibilities
The trainee will work within CEMR’s Secretariat General, in its Brussels office. She/he will:
a) Press and communication
  • Support in the development of CEMR website
  • Maintenance of CEMR website
  • Research, write and translate topical news stories for CEMR’s bilingual (FR/EN) website
  • Help handle queries from CEMR’s members, the media and other stakeholders. Search for photos to accompany articles and adapt using Photoshop
  • Regular monitoring of press and institutional activities
  • Create press reviews
  • Contribute to the production of CEMR’s publications: find graphic elements, draft and proof-read content, liaise with graphic and printing agencies
b) Events
  • Assist in the organisation of CEMR international Conference on citizenship and twinning to be held in December 2014 in Italy
  • Write, edit and translate texts (English and French into Italian) and assist in the coordination of translations and linguistic versions
  • Update content in the CEMR conference website
  • Help with overall organisation of different events
  • Undertake a range of administrative tasks

The successful candidate will have:
