Internship: Membership, Communications and Events Assistant

Main duties and responsibilities
Assistant to the Head of Memberships, Conferences and Administration;
Ownership of membership management including:
Timely issuance of invoices, payment reminders and receipts;
Bank reconciliations and accurate record keeping of the membership database;
Respond and handle membership queries.
Communication and marketing:
Monitor Social Media and post when required on all platforms;
Develop Social Media initiatives where possible with the aim of increasing ECGI's visibility;
Assist with event management (registrations, planning, practicalities);
Attendance at events is sometimes required and may involve travel abroad;
Assist with email marketing activities.
Assisting with other activities on request;
Ability to work independently is essential.
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
Good administration skills and attention to detail;
Experience with Microsoft office products are desirable (particularly Excel);
Good communication skills: proficient knowledge of English both speaking and writing is essential; knowledge of French is a plus;
Initiative and drive;
On-going studies or recent university business/marketing graduate;
Available to start immediately.
Internship for a period of 3 months (flexible);
Acquiring practical knowledge of diverse office management duties;
Exposure to current Corporate Governance issues;
Experience of working in small but international team;
Experience of living in Brussels.
NON REMUNERATED INTERNSHIP. The successful applicant will work on a “Volunteer contract”.
