Communication & Event Internship

SUMMARY
The Communication Unit plays a central role in the Secretariat of Union for the Mediterranean, managing events, publishing information tools, coordinating media relations, social media channels and public affairs of the institution.
Under the supervision of the Head of the Communication Unit, the successful candidate will work on the items mentioned below thus developing communication, protocol and collaborative skills over the period of the internship.
TASKS
Assist in the media and publications strategy
Contribute to the drafting and editing and translation of webnews & press releases
Contribute to the design, drafting, translation of brochures, presentations, reports, leaflets, advertisements, etc.
Participate in Web, Social Media, audiovisual and graphic design
Assist in the management of the website and social media
Edit photos and videos
Participate in the coordination of meetings & high level events
Assist in the coordination of events
Design efficient event strategies
Administrative support to the Communication Unit

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Strong organisational and time management skills: ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, while paying attention to the details. The ideal candidate will be used to working towards some tight deadlines.
Good written communication skills: ability to write clearly and produce relevant and concise content
Ability to work both independently and in a team
Interest in Euro-Mediterranean relations, international cooperation, etc. 
Excellent computer skills and mastering of office tools: word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook.
Good management of graphic design and audiovisual tools as well as web content management  systems(preferably WordPress)  and  social media will be an asset

English : Fluent
Spanish : Fluent
Arabic is an asset
French is an asset
DURATION
Six months starting as soon as possible.
