Candidates may be considered for other areas matching their educational background and interests, even if they did not indicate them in the application.
How long do internships last?
The length of an internship varies from a minimum of six to a maximum of 11 months. Please note that the duration of an internship is directly related to the needs of the hiring service.
Are internships paid at INTERPOL?
Interns are entitled to receive a monthly allowance of 550 euros (the amount set for internships based in Lyon). The allowance will be adjusted to the different duty stations according to the UN cost of living index and it will be prorated according to the number of days worked if an internship does not start at the beginning of a given month.
Do interns have to go through a security  check before being accepted?
Please note that, if selected, you will be required to produce a certificate of non-criminal records (including spent and unspent sentences pronounced by justice) from your country of nationality and from any other country in which  you have resided for more than 12 months in the past five years. If you are considered at a further stage of the selection process (interview) we advise you to familiarize yourself with the procedure for requesting such documentation in the concerned countries so that, if accepted, your arrival to the Organization is not unnecessarily delayed.
