2013 Social Sciences Scholarship, University of Glasgow, UK

Applications are invited by University of Glasgow, UK for College of Social Sciences Scholarship Competition 2013. There are up to 12 Scholarships being offered by the College of Social Sciences to study for a Ph.D. in an area of research linked to the college’s school/subject areas:
* Adam Smith Business School (Subjects: Accounting & Finance; Economics and Management)
* School of Education
* School of Interdisciplinary Studies
* School of Law
* School of Social & Political Sciences (Subjects: Central & East European Studies; Economic & Social History; Politics; Sociology, Anthropology & Applied Social Sciences and Urban Studies) 
Scholarship Details:
The scholarship runs for a maximum of three years full-time or 5 years part-time commencing on September/October 2013 and will provide:
* An annual bursary equivalent to the RCUK rate – currently £13,590 (£6795 part-time) for 2012/13
* Fees at the standard home/EU or international rate
* A research support grant of £750 (£375 part-time) per annum
Eligibility Criteria:
* Home/EU and international applicants are eligible to apply as well as students already in their first year of a University of Glasgow research degree.
* Both full-time and part-time students are eligible.
Selection Procedure:
* Applications will be shortlisted by a school selection panel using the following criteria:
30% – for transcript and references
70% – for research proposal
* The final selection will be made by a college selection panel and candidates will be notified by Monday, April 01, 2013
