Assistant Manager, Parcels Team IPC - International Post Corporation Brussels, Belgium

The International Post Corporation (IPC) is a cooperative association of 24 members which are national postal services from major countries in Europe, Asia Pacific and North America. Our members handle 80% of the world’s postal traffic, employ more than 2.3 million people, and have a combined turnover of €214 billion. IPC itself has some 65 staff of 15 different nationalities and the company’s working language is English. Our corporate mission is the provision of assistance and expertise to facilitate development and improvement of postal services. Our members’ business represents mail, parcels, express, logistics, retail and banking services.
With increasing privatisation and liberalisation, IPC’s objective is to sustain our record for the delivery of practical and intelligent solutions to meet the rapidly evolving needs of our dynamic industry.

The IPC operations and information technology team delivers operational control and quality monitoring solutions to IPC members, and is enlarging its parcels services. We are hiring the next generation of employee who will support us driving our business to continued success.

We are looking for a recent university graduate (preferably in Logistics) who is:

Principle Accountabilities
- Work within the IPC Parcels Team, interface with IPC information technology team and with IPC members and customers;
- Update Project plan, as well as Functional and Technical specifications;
- Helpdesk and functional assistance to Operators in projects;
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative parcels data and identify weak areas in the process pipeline and recommend improvement actions;
- Participate in meetings, write reports and minutes, prepare presentations;
- Review data and results and distil them into well structured reports and presentations;
- Support IPC Parcels Team in daily work.

Job Requirements
- Ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with all levels of management across functions;
- Ability to multi-task; Competent in the use of Excel and PowerPoint;
- Innovative, goal and result oriented, pro-active, diplomatic, enthusiastic team player, able to work in an international environment;
- High standard of both spoken and written English is required, other European languages are welcome.
