Internship - Accountant

EUREKA is an intergovernmental network of 41 member states and the European Commission that promotes and supports transnational research and development activities, many involving small businesses and large industry. To support EUREKA’s mission of strengthening industrial competitiveness through innovation, the EUREKA Secretariat, based in Brussels, is offering an Internship - Accountant.
The EUREKA Secretariat is looking for a talented and ambitious intern in financial matters to support the Senior Accountant and the Financial Controller at the EUREKA Secretariat.
This is an entry level position with a contract for six months, renewable. It would be an ideal first step for a career in public administration.
The objective of the internship is to assist the Senior Accountant and the Financial Controller in their daily tasks.
He/she will have among other to deal with:
Financial accounting in Ms Dynamics Navision;
Financial and audit transactions related to the Eurostars Programme;
Belgian accounting legislation;
Ad hoc tasks in the financial team.
The Intern has analytical skills, is accurate, flexible and client-oriented.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
You have a minimum Bachelor in Economics or Accounting;
You have good spoken and written English and French skills;
You are a positive and highly-motivated young professional.
SALARY AND CONDITIONS
This internship offers a 6 month term contract from the agreement date of ‘Bruxelles Formation’, renewable. The position attracts a gross monthly salary of 750 EUR/month, subject to Belgian taxation. Fringe benefits such as meal vouchers will be granted.
