Media Analysis Internship

Have you recently graduated in communication/media studies, journalism or a related subject with a focus on environmental communications? We are looking for a brilliant new talent to join our communication department for six month internships beginning in September 2013.
You will help us make the most of our media monitoring and analysis , helping inspire and mobilize millions of people to save the planet.

Skills and Requirements

Tasks for Media Analysis Interns

We would like you to...
  • Compile and report media statistics
  • Produce quantitative and qualitative media analysis
  • Conduct media trends research
  • Create internal news briefings
  • Update media contact databases
  • Analyze and report web/social media performance statistics
  • be comfortable promoting an idea and defending an argument for Greenpeace,
  • And be eligible to work in the Netherlands, starting September 2013.
The work carried out by our media analysis team helps inform and guide campaign planning and media strategies.

Project Leadership

You will spend roughly 50 percent of your time on the tasks above and related work in the Communications Department. For the rest of your time, you will work individually or with your team on media analysis projects, which you select from a list of projects proposed by your line manager. You will plan and execute the projects during your internship.

Conditions and How to Apply

Greenpeace International internships are full-time positions (up to 40 hours per week). Our internships are meant for students or recent graduates who have completed their studies less than 1 year ago. This internship lasts six months and remuneration is via a modest monthly honorarium.
Due to the short notice of this announcement, only EU nationals and/or those with a valid work permit for The Netherlands are asked to apply. Applicants will have to take out health insurance before starting the internship.
